OUTSOURCING HERE AND THERE

Outsourcing, clearly understood in Portuguese as “Terceirizar” has in the USA basically the same effect as in Brazil. Outsourcing there is the transfer of the provision of services previously carried out by in-house personnel to an external organization, usually under a contract with agreed standards, costs, and conditions. As the outsourced employer assigns its workers to serve the contractor the latter is supposed to make sure the former is under the best labor practices and operating according to the laws or else the contractor may face severe charges, at least here in Brazil

A little example of it is my own condominium which contracted a company to provide doormen to work here. Last year when this company went bankrupt one of the doormen filed a suit against us claiming some benefits and wages that our condo had properly paid but that the doorman’s employer did not give him.
